Toronto, what’s good?!
Muslim Writers Collective (MWC) is coming to your hood and we’re calling all writers, storytellers, poets, speakers, comedians, and all around awesome people to showcase the best of Toronto creativity!
With over half of its residents born outside Canada and representation from 230 different nationalities, Toronto is the most diverse city in the world. Our first event will be celebrating this by exploring the theme of:
UNITY vs UNIFORMITY
What does it mean to be unified but not uniform? How do we stay unified as a collective, yet uniquely us? What does unity look like, within ourselves, despite our internal contradictions; within the various communities that we belong to despite our differences of opinions, thoughts and ideas; within the broader society that we call home; and within the human race as a whole?
ALL our welcome, you don’t have to be Muslim or a writer, you don’t even have to stay on topic 🙂
