Job Title: Youth Program Coordinator, DawaNet
Reports To: Executive Director, DawaNet
Compensation: $11.40/ hour
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Length of Employment: 12 Weeks, Starting on May 8, 2017
Location: 2-2570 Haines Rd. Mississauga ON

Job Summary:
The Youth Program Coordinator is responsible for developing educational and fun youth activities and events to engage various youth age groups in middle school, high school, and University/College as well as managing the execution of these events.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate with DawaNet team members to develop and plan youth engaging programs across all DawaNet projects.
Work with My Spirit project team to plan the Youth Award Ceremony, complete all necessary paperwork, and assist in executing and managing the event.
Develop a marketing plan and lead marketing execution of youth events and programs.
Develop and manage a documentation process for all stages of event planning cycle for youth programs.
Recruit, lead, and supervise volunteers to run programs, events, and other related youth activities.
Network and collaborate with other youth focused organizations in the community as needed.
Develop survey and compile statistics on needs and challenges of Muslim Canadian Youth

Qualifications:
University/College student registered as a full time student in the 2016/2017 academic year and intends to return as a full-time student in September 2018
Is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or has official refugee protection status
Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with provincial/territorial legislation
At least 1 year experience working in event management in any community based organization preferred
Demonstrates experience working with youth is an asset
A team player with effective problem solving and decision making skills.
Ability to communicate effectively both through verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Very good computer skills and familiarity with Google Drive and social media sites.
Ability to work evenings and weekends if needed.

The Special Events Coordinator is responsible for planning and managing the execution of all DawaNet external events (conferences, seminars etc.).

Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate with DawaNet core team members to develop and plan special external events across all DawaNet projects including conferences, seminars, and an event for Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation.
Develop a marketing plan and lead marketing execution of events and programs.
Develop and manage a documentation process for all stages of event planning cycle.
Recruit, lead, and supervise volunteers to run programs/events.
Network and collaborate with other community organizations for potential event partnerships.

Qualifications:
University/College student registered as a full time student in the 2016/2017 academic year and intends to return as a full-time student in September 2018

Job Summary: The Fundraising and Grant Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing fundraising initiatives/events as well as conducting grant research and applying for grant applications to cover the costs of running all DawaNet projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and market sponsorship packages and donor opportunities.
Network, communicate, and work with potential sponsors and donors.
Identify and apply for available grants.
Work with other DawaNet core team members to develop, plan, market, and execute, fundraising programs/events.
Develop and manage a documentation process for all stages of event planning cycle for fundraising programs.
Recruit, lead, and supervise volunteers to run fundraising programs as needed.

Qualifications:
University/College student registered as a full time student in the 2016/2017 academic year and intends to return as a full-time student in September 2018
Is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or has official refugee protection status
Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with provincial/territorial legislation
At least 1 year experience working in event management in any community based organization an asset
Demonstrates experience working in fundraising and/or sponsorship

Job Title: Content Developer, DawaNet
Reports To: Executive Director, DawaNet
Compensation: $11.40/ hour
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Length of Employment: 12 Weeks, Starting on May 8, 2017
Location: 2-2570 Haines Rd. Mississauga ON

Job Summary: The content developer will be working with our communications, marketing and website maintenance team to develop content for writing materials that would be made public in the forms of announcements, newsletters, marketing write-ups and website updates/summaries on the website.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Website content update: Work with all project teams to gather information and ensure that content on the website is current. Information will be passed to the website maintenance coordinator and appropriate sections updated.
Outside of the events section, ensure all other information, blogs, forums are also up-to-date with current content.
Edit content as necessary as events and projects are happening, work with the marketing team to come up with creative content/messaging for promotional materials.
Work with communications team to assist with content writing and messaging for media/press releases and newsletters.
Maintain social media accounts by creating and posting engaging content

Qualifications:
University/College student registered as a full time student in the 2016/2017 academic year and intends to return as a full-time student in September 2018
Is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or has official refugee protection status
Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with provincial/territorial legislation
Experience with HTML, Java Script, Photoshop, Illustrator preferred
Experience in web related marketing and development an asset
A team player with effective problem solving and decision making skills.
Ability to communicate effectively both through verbal and written communication skills.
Good listening skills
Strong organization and time management skills.
Very good computer skills and familiarity with Google Drive and social media sites.
Ability to work evenings and weekends if needed.
